Mavis McClure Mavis McClure is one of the finest figurative artists to emerge in the last decade. Self taught and just 36, Mavis McClure's larger-than-life bronze and clay figures are dominated by exaggerated hands and feet reminiscent, but not imitative, of both Cycladic sculpture and Picasso's versions thereof. McClure is concerned with what can be communicated through gesture, the tilt of a head or turn of a hand. Combining strength of form and primal beauty, Mavis McClure's evocative figures succeed on many levels. Sculpture

Nathan Oliveira Nathan Oliveira is one of the Bay Area’s most gifted and respected artist’s. His bronzes are compelling studies in vulnerability and endurance, charged with both energy and restrained pathos. Oliveira's figures speak eloquently of time and decay, destruction and perishability, and of a will to endure and to create that persists in spite of those things. Nathan Oliveira 2
